Our Orthodontics Clear Braces Service
When you hear the word braces, you generally think of negative connotations. They’re bulky, unflattering, and can sometimes hurt. While you may want straighter teeth, the fear of metal braces may be holding you back. But, there’s no need to fear braces!
An alternative to the traditional metal braces is orthodontics clear braces, more commonly known as Invisalign. It’s a method that utilizes trays that are clear aligners that slowly adjust your teeth. Clear braces are becoming more and more popular, especially among adults and teenagers who don’t want the flash of metal every time they smile or speak.
Orthodontics clear braces are a great solution for a variety of issues such as crossbites, overbites, simple bite irregularities, gaps between teeth, overcrowded teeth, and even relapses that happen after traditional braces have been removed.
At Bruce Stephenson DDS, Dr. Stephenson can treat your teeth issues quickly and comfortable without you hashing out bags of money. His experience and know-how have helped many patients who were told that Invisalign wouldn’t work for them.
How They Work
After we have determined that clear braces are the best option for you, X-rays and impressions of your teeth will be taken. These two things will be sent off so that the aligner trays will be made to perfectly fit your teeth. Depending on the state of your teeth, you usually will be given a set of 20 to 30 trays for your upper and lower teeth to complete your treatment.
While you’re using Invisalign, you have to follow certain steps to ensure that you get the results that you want. You should remove them before brushing and flossing your teeth as well as eating. Besides those times, you should be wearing your clear braces for 20 to 22 hours a day. You should clean your trays daily with a cleaning kit or lukewarm water. You want to change your tray out every two weeks. We will ask you to come in every four to six weeks so that we can ensure that your orthodontics clear braces are doing their job and to give you a new set of trays.
The length of the process depends on your age. For most adults, they will have their teeth corrected in less than a year. For teenagers, Invisalign takes a little longer to take effect, but not much. Teens can expect their treatment to be done between 12 and 16 months. The more you stick to the plan, the faster it’ll work.
Benefits of Invisalign
Choosing orthodontics clear braces means that you get to experience a few benefits that metal brace users do not get. The first benefit is the look of the braces. You don’t have to deal with metal wires getting in your way. Another benefit is the comfort. Invisalign fit snugly over your teeth; you can expect minor soreness, but it will go away quickly. Overall, clear braces are visually appealing. They’re also a convenient method of getting a happy, healthy smile.
On average, orthodontic clear braces cost anywhere between $3,000 to $8,000. No worries though, Dr. Stephenson will work with to determine the cost of your treatment and give you a variety of options to help you pay for them.
